RULE OF THUMB: Sensors with a thermocouple are fast and have a wide measuring range. Resistance and NTC sensors are slower but more accurate. The wider the measuring range, the more general the application.
IMMERSION AND INSERT SENSORS
Immersion sensors (type K, Pt100, NTC) for measuring in liquids, but also for measuring in gas and air.
INSERT SENSORS
Insert sensors (type K, Pt100, NTC) for measuring in plastic or semi-rigid materials.
AIR SENSORS
Air sensors (type K, Pt100, NTC). To make it easier to take fast measurements, the sensor is normally in an unprotected position.
SURFACE TEMPERATURE SENSORS
Sensor designs: Type K, CuCuNi, Pt100, NTC. With measuring tip for measuring on flat surfaces. To achieve optimum function, we recommend using a silicone-based thermal conductivity paste (Tmax 260 °C).
TYPE K SENSOR DESIGN
We recommend the patented measuring head with spring thermocouple tape for fast measuring, also on uneven surfaces. The thermocouple tape measures the actual temperature of the measured object in the course of a few seconds:
